Southeast Asian Youths’ Perspectives on Environmental Issues

Photo Submission Ends

The stark realities of plastic waste, e-waste, pollution, and the looming threat of climate change aren’t abstract problems; they’re real and pressing issues that demand our attention now.

Southeast Asia stands at a crucial crossroads. The need for collective action has never been more significant, and the urgency has never been clearer. It’s not just about addressing these issues; it’s about securing the resilience and prosperity of our region.

The time to act is now, and the project, “GreenLens: Southeast Asian Youths’ Perspectives on Environmental Issues”, is our response. We need to be courageous to confront the truths, and come up with solutions but also be creative to present those stories.

Look at the facts

Plastic pollution is choking our waterways, putting marine life in peril and threatening the livelihoods of those who depend on fisheries.

E-waste isn’t just a disposal problem; it’s contaminating our soil and water, posing hazards to both the environment and our health.

The undeniable impacts of climate change, rising sea levels and extreme weather events are hitting vulnerable communities hardest, exacerbating existing socio-economic disparities.
